Annie Leibovitz is a celebrity photographer born in Waterbury, Connecticut.

There isn’t just one photograph that made Annie such a popular photographer. She started her career working as a staff photographer for the Rolling Stones (magazine).

She was soon on tour with The Rolling Stones as their band photographer. Before long she was photographing celebrities and band members all over the world, and has been ever since.

In 2008, Annie started a series for Disney called Dream Portraits, featuring a series of celebrities and actors/actresses re-enacting a scene from various Disney movies.

In 2011, Annie and Disney have worked together again to add more photographs to the series. This post features both the original and new shots – all of which are amazing pieces of work and incredibly detailed…

These photographs really bring the animated movies to life. How do they make you feel? What one is your favorite?

they are so totally over processed, they cannot be called photographs.

I love Annie’s work, but ALL of these look like CRAP, with the exception of Scarlett Johansson’s.

I’ve got to be honest, I just don’t quite get these. There are a few that are okay, but none of these wow me or make me feel any sort of emotion whatsoever. They all seem to come off a little bit odd to me. Am I missing something?

I love leibovitz work, but RF as King Arthur?

      Naaaa … Terrible

wow it is CRAP! I just can’t believe that is Annie Leibovitz. I think not everything is made by her and specialy post proccessing and collage.

Wow, they are all so breath-taking and dream-like in detail. I think the Beauty and the beast is my favorite. I love Jeff Bridges and Penelope Cruz! They should totally do a remake together of a real life Beauty in the Beast!

      These kick ass! Great post!!

I guess I’m disappointed. Not a single one captured the spirit of the stories, except perhaps the Cinderella one. They look very Thomas Kinkade, no real substance or feeling.

I’ve adored this series, and the way she picks the star as almost defiant to the traditional characters is pretty awesome. I particulary loved the Peter Pan portrait and the Alice rendition. It’s always a great thing to see Mikhail Baryshnikov as Peter Pan and the psychedelic feel of Beyonce and the Madhatter in Alice.
